How to put an online chat on your website
← BackIn the multichat, create a "Website chat" channel, copy the embed code and add it to all pages of the site. Conversations with visitors will come to the multichat.
- In the multichat: "Add channel" → "Website chat" → "New website chat".
- In the "Chat window" block, set the "Window title", "Greeting" and decide whether to ask for the "Visitor's name and contact": don't ask, can be skipped, or required before the first message.
- In the "Channels in the button menu" block, check the connected messengers — the button menu will show items "Write on Telegram", "Write on WhatsApp", etc. The link can be edited; for MAX it is inserted manually.
- In the "Button on the site" block, choose the corner, margins, "Button color" and how often the icons change.
- Click "Save". In the "Code for the client's site" block a code will appear — click "Copy".
- Insert the code before the closing
</body>tag on all pages where the button is needed. You can check in advance via the "Open a test page with the widget" link.
The code is inserted once: further changes to the settings are picked up by the site automatically, within a minute.
The visitor writes in the window in the corner of the site, and files can be attached. The conversation comes to the multichat with the address of the page from which they wrote, and the employee's reply appears to the visitor in the same window. Two checkmarks next to the reply mean that the visitor has seen it.
The "Sites where the widget works" field limits where the button will appear: one address per line, subdomains are fine. Empty — it works everywhere the code is inserted.
If it didn't work
- There's no button on the site. Check the "Website chat enabled" and "Show on phones" checkboxes, as well as the list of sites — the address must match.
- The visitor left before the reply. They will only see the reply if they return to the site from the same browser — so it's worth asking for a contact.

Tips for working with the builder
The "Help" section is made for those who are building a website on "Pervaya Liniya" for the first time. It contains answers to common questions: how to create a website, what to write in the fields, how to edit texts and photos, how to connect your own domain, and how to set up sections. The materials will help you figure things out without contacting support.
The builder is simple: you fill in the fields on the creation page, and then edit the content directly on the finished website. If something does not work or is unclear, check the relevant help item. The instructions are written in plain language and describe every step.
In Help you will find answers to questions:
- how to come up with a website address and what to do if the name is taken;
- how to change the title, description, and other texts on the page;
- how to add products, services, or request forms;
- how to connect your own domain instead of an address on firstline.com.ua;
- how to set up sections and modules for your business needs.
If you cannot find the answer you need, use the feedback form — we will help you figure it out. The section is updated so that you can always find current information about working with the builder.
