How to connect email to multichat

← Back

"Settings" → "Email settings" → "Add account": select the email service, enter the address and app password, click "Check" and "Save".

  1. Open "Settings" (the gear icon at the bottom of the folders column) → "Email settings" and click "Add account".
  2. In the "Email service" field, select Yandex, Mail.ru, Gmail, or Outlook — the servers will be filled in automatically. For other email, select "Other / manual" and enter the "IMAP server" (receiving) and "SMTP server" (sending replies) with ports.
  3. Fill in "Email", "Login", and "App password". This is not your regular email password: for Yandex, Mail.ru, and Gmail, it is created separately in the mailbox security settings.
  4. Click "Check", then "Save".

New emails arrive in the multichat "Inbox", and replies are sent from the same mailbox. Formatted emails are displayed as in an email client: images inside the email are in place, sender scripts are stripped.

Signature for all emails is set in "Settings" → "Rules", field "Email signature".

On first connection, the latest emails from the mailbox are fetched, not the entire archive.

If it didn't work

  • The client received a reply from a different address. This happens when "Login" and "Email" are different (for example, a Gmail mailbox sends on behalf of another address). Multichat sets the "Email" as the reply-to address, but it's safer to add this address in Gmail settings as an additional sender address.
  • The client's reply didn't appear in the "Inbox" folder. An email with the same subject is appended to the previous conversation, even if it's in the "Done" or "Trash" folder. Search by address.
  • "Check" gives a login error. Most likely, a regular password was entered instead of an app password, or IMAP access is disabled in the mailbox.

Tips for working with the builder

The "Help" section is made for those who are building a website on "Pervaya Liniya" for the first time. It contains answers to common questions: how to create a website, what to write in the fields, how to edit texts and photos, how to connect your own domain, and how to set up sections. The materials will help you figure things out without contacting support.

The builder is simple: you fill in the fields on the creation page, and then edit the content directly on the finished website. If something does not work or is unclear, check the relevant help item. The instructions are written in plain language and describe every step.

In Help you will find answers to questions:

  • how to come up with a website address and what to do if the name is taken;
  • how to change the title, description, and other texts on the page;
  • how to add products, services, or request forms;
  • how to connect your own domain instead of an address on firstline.com.ua;
  • how to set up sections and modules for your business needs.

If you cannot find the answer you need, use the feedback form — we will help you figure it out. The section is updated so that you can always find current information about working with the builder.
