How to add a page to the menu

In the "Site structure" section, click "Add top-level item", fill in "Name" and optionally "URL (alias)", and save.

  1. Open "Site structure" in the admin menu.
  2. At the bottom of the tree, click "Add top-level item". To make the item a subitem of an existing one — click "+" on the desired item or the "Add subsection" button in that item's window.
  3. Fill in "Name *" — this is the menu label.
  4. "URL (alias)" — the page address, in Latin: about, contacts. The leading slash is added automatically. Leave it empty — the address will be generated from the name.
  5. "Page title (title)" — what is displayed as the large heading on the page itself. It can differ from the menu label.
  6. Click "Save".

Leave the "Module" field empty if this is a regular text page: its content is edited with the "Edit section text" button in the same window. Need a form, catalog, or another function — click "Select" to the right of the field and choose a module from the list.

"Orientation" determines which part of the menu the item appears in: left, center, or right column, top, middle, or bottom. Nine combinations.

The "URL (alias)" label is also a link: clicking it opens the section in a new tab.

If it didn't work

  • The item is not visible in the menu. Check "Access level": values like "Nobody..." remove the item from the menu.
  • The page opens empty. This is expected until the section text is filled: open the item and click "Edit section text".
  • "URL already in use". Two sections with the same address cannot exist on the site — change the alias.
