How to create a dropdown menu

Create an item with the address "#" (or "#something") — it won't have its own page, but it will collect subitems under it.

  1. In the "Site structure" section, click "Add top-level item".
  2. In the "URL (alias)" field, enter the # symbol. An address starting with a hash indicates an item without its own page: clicking it just expands the list.
  3. Save.
  4. Now click "+" on this item and add subitems — each with a regular address.

You can have as many dropdown menus as you like, but their addresses must differ: for example #, #more, #o-nas.

You can also make a subitem from an existing section: open it and select the dropdown in the "Parent" field.

If it didn't work

  • The item doesn't save with an error. The address # is already taken by another dropdown. Give this one its own: #more or similar.
  • The item leads to the home page instead of expanding. The address ended up as /# instead of #. Enter the address starting with the hash and save.
  • Subitems are not visible. Check the "Access level" of the subitems themselves: a hidden subitem won't appear in the list.
