How to add an item to the catalog

← Back

"Manage items" section in the admin menu: fill in "Item name", select "Section", and click "Create item".

  1. Open "Manage items" in the admin menu — or click "+" next to the section's pencil on the page itself: the form will open with that section already selected.
  2. Fill in "Item name" — this is what the visitor will see.
  3. Select "Section *" — the site page where the item will be displayed. An item always lives in a section.
  4. "Template": "Section properties template" immediately gives the item the properties and values defined for the section; "Create from scratch" — an item without them.
  5. Upload an "Image" — the picture for the tile in the catalog. If the section has a "Item gallery" property, a gallery will also appear below.
  6. Click "Create item".

After creation, the item gets a "Short description", "Replace image", and "Order" — its place in the list among neighbors. Changes are saved with the "Update item" button.

An item can be moved to another section using the same "Section" field — no need to create it anew for that. A similar item is conveniently made as a copy: the "Clone item" button in the card header copies properties, prices, and images and immediately opens the copy. Many items at once are uploaded with the "Import" button from XLSX, CSV, or YML.

If it didn't work

  • The desired section is not in the list. First create it on the "Site structure" page.
  • The item is created, but it's not on the page. Check which module outputs the section: items are shown as tiles by a regular page — an empty "Module" field or static.

Tips for working with the builder

The "Help" section is made for those who are building a website on "Pervaya Liniya" for the first time. It contains answers to common questions: how to create a website, what to write in the fields, how to edit texts and photos, how to connect your own domain, and how to set up sections. The materials will help you figure things out without contacting support.

The builder is simple: you fill in the fields on the creation page, and then edit the content directly on the finished website. If something does not work or is unclear, check the relevant help item. The instructions are written in plain language and describe every step.

In Help you will find answers to questions:

  • how to come up with a website address and what to do if the name is taken;
  • how to change the title, description, and other texts on the page;
  • how to add products, services, or request forms;
  • how to connect your own domain instead of an address on firstline.com.ua;
  • how to set up sections and modules for your business needs.

If you cannot find the answer you need, use the feedback form — we will help you figure it out. The section is updated so that you can always find current information about working with the builder.
