How to open the site as an application in Bitrix24

Create a section with the app_b24 module, add a local application on the portal with the addresses from the section page and enter its client_id and client_secret in the module settings.

  1. Create a section, for example /b24, with the app_b24 module and access "Everyone".
  2. Open its page as an administrator. In the "Application settings addresses" block there are "Your handler path" and "Initial installation path".
  3. On the portal: For developers → Other → Local application, type "Server". Do not check the "Uses API only" box. Paste both addresses, come up with a menu item name and save.
  4. Copy the "Application code (client_id)" and "Application key (client_secret)" into "Module settings": the "client_id (application code)" and "client_secret (application key)" fields.
  5. On the section page click "Check keys and connection to Bitrix24".
  6. Choose "Where the user goes after login" and click "Save".
  7. Open the application in the portal's left menu. Installation will happen automatically.

Each portal employee logs into the site under their own account. It is created on first login, and the name is taken from the portal. The portals where the application is installed and the number of their users are visible in the section summary.

Payment pages inside the portal do not work. Therefore, pages from the "Pages that open in a new tab" field (by default /finance) are replaced with a button. It opens the same page in a new tab, and the person is already logged into the site. To allow only your portal, enter its address in "Only these portals (optional)".

The application can also be published in the Bitrix24 Marketplace — this requires partner-developer status. The keys are then taken in the vendor dashboard, the "Test" button.

If it didn't work

  • Cannot confirm login from Bitrix24. Most often the keys are from another application or copied with a space. Check them with the "Check keys and connection to Bitrix24" button. If the application window was opened long ago, refresh the portal page.
  • Login is not saved. The site opens inside the portal, and Safari on a computer and Firefox in strict mode do not keep such a login. Chrome, Yandex Browser, Edge and Bitrix24 applications work.
