How to create a site

Choose an address like name.vtorge.com, a title, a base language, and a template — the site is created immediately. A guest receives a password by email; a logged-in user enters the site via the "Open site" button.

  1. Open the site creation page and in the "Site address" field enter a name — only the part before .vtorge.com. You can also paste the full address, https://MySite.vtorge.com/ will turn into mysite automatically.
  2. Validation happens on the fly: a taken or forbidden address is highlighted immediately, and the "Create" button appears only for an available one.
  3. Fill in "Project name" and "Short description". The name is shown in the header and in the browser tab title; the description goes into description for search engines. Both can be changed later in the admin panel.
  4. "Base language" — the language in which you will fill the site: from it, the site is later translated into other languages.
  5. "Site template": "Empty site" — only starting sections, or a ready-made template with sections and design. For a template site, the template's language remains the base language.
  6. Click "Create". If you are not logged in, specify the administrator's email and click "Create site" — a temporary password and login link will be sent to your email.
  7. On the "Site created!" step, click "Open site". If you created the site while logged into your account, the button will immediately log you in as administrator.

The address consists of 3–63 characters: Latin letters, digits, and hyphen. The hyphen cannot be first or last. Some names are reserved by the engine — for example www.

An empty site is deployed on the first visit to the new address — this is normal, just open the site. A template site comes already filled.

A logged-in user sees the "My sites" list below the form: with the "Log in as admin" button you can access any of them as administrator again.

If it didn't work

  • The email didn't arrive. Check the Spam folder. If the email wasn't sent, the site isn't created at all: creation and email are a single operation, so "site exists but no password" cannot happen.
  • The builder asks to log in or register. On this builder, sites are created only from an account: log in and return to the page.
  • Creation doesn't allow immediate retry. A one-minute pause is enforced between consecutive creations.

The builder is simple: you fill in the fields on the creation page, and then edit the content directly on the finished website. If something does not work or is unclear, check the relevant help item. The instructions are written in plain language and describe every step.
