How to create a promo code

"Promo codes" tab: set the amount, number of codes, activation limit, and term — the code credits money to the balance or serves as an invitation.

  1. Open "General settings" (/look-admin) → the "Promo codes" tab.
  2. In the "Promo code generation" block, fill in the fields "Prefix" (Latin letters and digits), "Amount (rub)", and "Number of codes".
  3. "Activations per code": 1 — one-time, 0 — unlimited.
  4. "Valid until" — date inclusive; empty — indefinite.
  5. Click "Generate". The codes will appear in the "Promo code list".

The user enters the code during registration or on the /finance page in the "Promo code activation" block. The amount is credited to the balance. One user can activate one code only once.

A code for 0 rub. credits nothing and works as an invitation. Paired with the "Closed registration only by promo code" mode in the "Module settings" window of the registration section, only those to whom you gave the code will be able to access the site.

The limit and term of an existing code are changed in the "Promo code settings" window. A past date disables the code without deleting the activation history. The table shows how many times the code was activated and by whom.

If it didn't work

  • "The promo code has expired". Extend the date in the code settings.
  • "The promo code activation limit has been reached". Increase "Activations per code".
  • "You have already activated this promo code". The code is not counted again for the same user.
