How to add a second language

← Back

Check the language on the "Site languages" tab in general settings and click "Save languages" — a switcher will appear, and URLs will get a prefix like /en/.

  1. Open "General settings" and go to the "Site languages" tab.
  2. Check the "Base language" — the language in which the site texts are written. It remains on regular URLs (/about), while others get a prefix: /en/about.
  3. Check the desired language in the list (there is a search by language and country) and click "Save languages".
  4. Start translation: in the automatic translation card, each language has two rows — "Content" (your texts: sections, products, tariffs) and "Interface" (labels of the modules themselves), each with its own "Translate" button.

The visitor's language is determined automatically: by country, then by browser settings. The choice in the switcher is remembered for a year. Search engine robots are excluded from this — they always get exactly the URL they requested, otherwise the base language version wouldn't get indexed.

Below on the same tab is "Sections and informers by language": there you can hide a section in a specific language or show another one instead.

If it didn't work

  • Part of the text remained untranslated. Click "Translate" again: translation goes in batches and could have been interrupted. Lines that you edited manually are not overwritten by the machine.
  • The "Translate" buttons are inactive. Automatic translation is not configured on the server. Languages can be enabled and translated manually.
  • Product names in calculations are not translated. Some service names are keys that the engine works with; they remain as is and are not displayed on the storefront.

Tips for working with the builder

The "Help" section is made for those who are building a website on "Pervaya Liniya" for the first time. It contains answers to common questions: how to create a website, what to write in the fields, how to edit texts and photos, how to connect your own domain, and how to set up sections. The materials will help you figure things out without contacting support.

The builder is simple: you fill in the fields on the creation page, and then edit the content directly on the finished website. If something does not work or is unclear, check the relevant help item. The instructions are written in plain language and describe every step.

In Help you will find answers to questions:

  • how to come up with a website address and what to do if the name is taken;
  • how to change the title, description, and other texts on the page;
  • how to add products, services, or request forms;
  • how to connect your own domain instead of an address on firstline.com.ua;
  • how to set up sections and modules for your business needs.

If you cannot find the answer you need, use the feedback form — we will help you figure it out. The section is updated so that you can always find current information about working with the builder.
