How to add a counter or third-party widget to all pages

The "About site" tab in general settings, the "Widget HTML code" field — the code is inserted on every page of the site.

  1. Open "General settings" → the "About site" tab.
  2. Find "Widgets (HTML code for insertion on all pages)".
  3. Paste the code provided by the service in full — together with the <script> tags.
  4. Click "Save all".

This is where things that should be on every page go: visit counters, online consultant, advertising system pixel. Code for a single page is better inserted into the section text itself, in HTML mode.

This code is not translated into other site languages — and rightly so: there is nothing to translate in it, and translation would break the script.

If it didn't work

  • The counter doesn't see visits. Make sure you pasted the code in full. Half the code won't cause an error, but it won't work either.
  • The site became slower. Every third-party script is a request to a third-party server. Three or four counters noticeably slow down the page.
