What are informers in the menu

← Back

These are small widgets that sit in the menu alongside items: logo, cart, search, language switcher, chat, and others.

An informer takes the place of a menu item, but it doesn't lead to a page — it shows a control element. In the site structure, they look like regular items — you can tell by the address: it starts with a hash (#logo, #theme), because an informer doesn't have its own page.

What's available in the engine:

  • appearance and navigation — logo, custom text, link, "Catalog" button with mega menu, language switcher, city selection, light and dark theme switch;
  • store — cart, favorites, site search, product filter;
  • user — greeting, balance, reminder to change temporary password;
  • communication — chat and multichat with unread count, "Chat on site" button in the corner of the page, news subscription;
  • other — button to install the site as an app on a phone.

To add an informer, create an item and in the section window click "Choose" next to the "Module" field: informers are grouped in the "Informers" category. An informer is moved and styled like a regular item: by dragging, with the "Orientation" field — menu column and row, with the gear icon — appearance. Its own parameters live behind the "Module settings" button. An informer can also be placed as a section on a page — it looks the same as in the menu.

If it didn't work

  • The informer disappeared from the menu. Check "Access level": for informers it works the same as for sections.
  • The language switcher isn't shown. It appears only when at least a second language is enabled on the site.
  • The informer isn't deleted, but hidden. Only system ones behave this way: logo, city, theme, greeting, balance, and password reminder. The rest are deleted in the usual way.

Tips for working with the builder

The "Help" section is made for those who are building a website on "Pervaya Liniya" for the first time. It contains answers to common questions: how to create a website, what to write in the fields, how to edit texts and photos, how to connect your own domain, and how to set up sections. The materials will help you figure things out without contacting support.

The builder is simple: you fill in the fields on the creation page, and then edit the content directly on the finished website. If something does not work or is unclear, check the relevant help item. The instructions are written in plain language and describe every step.

In Help you will find answers to questions:

  • how to come up with a website address and what to do if the name is taken;
  • how to change the title, description, and other texts on the page;
  • how to add products, services, or request forms;
  • how to connect your own domain instead of an address on firstline.com.ua;
  • how to set up sections and modules for your business needs.

If you cannot find the answer you need, use the feedback form — we will help you figure it out. The section is updated so that you can always find current information about working with the builder.
