How to add a link to an existing page or another site to the menu

← Back

The “Link” informer leads anywhere: to a page that is already in the menu, to an external site, email or phone. The address is set in its settings.

  1. Add a menu item in the desired place. “Name *” — the label in the menu.
  2. In “URL (alias)”, enter a service address with a hash, for example #link-footer. Each such link must have its own.
  3. In the “Module” field, via “Select” → “Informers”, choose the “Link” card (code informer_link). Save.
  4. Open the item again, click “Module settings”:
    • “Link address” — /about, https://…, mailto:… or tel:…;
    • “Link text” — if empty, the item name is used;
    • “Tooltip on hover”;
    • “Open in a new tab”;
    • “Close from indexing (nofollow)”.
  5. Save.

Why this is needed: you cannot create a regular menu item with the same address — section addresses are unique. But you can have as many link informers to one page as you like, for example in the header and in the footer.

The link looks and is styled like a regular item: icon, gear, orientation. When the visitor is on that page, the item is highlighted as active. Addresses of your site in another language automatically get a language prefix.

If it didn’t work

  • The item has the note “— not configured”. The “Link address” is not filled in. Visitors do not see such an item at all.
  • The item is not saved because of the address. The service address with a hash is repeated — there cannot be two sections with the same address. Give this link another one.

Tips for working with the builder

The "Help" section is made for those who are building a website on "Pervaya Liniya" for the first time. It contains answers to common questions: how to create a website, what to write in the fields, how to edit texts and photos, how to connect your own domain, and how to set up sections. The materials will help you figure things out without contacting support.

The builder is simple: you fill in the fields on the creation page, and then edit the content directly on the finished website. If something does not work or is unclear, check the relevant help item. The instructions are written in plain language and describe every step.

In Help you will find answers to questions:

  • how to come up with a website address and what to do if the name is taken;
  • how to change the title, description, and other texts on the page;
  • how to add products, services, or request forms;
  • how to connect your own domain instead of an address on firstline.com.ua;
  • how to set up sections and modules for your business needs.

If you cannot find the answer you need, use the feedback form — we will help you figure it out. The section is updated so that you can always find current information about working with the builder.
