How to sell plans to visitors

Create packages in the "Prices" tab: a visitor selects a plan during registration or in the personal account, and the price is debited from their balance.

  1. Open "General settings" (/look-admin) → the "Prices" tab.
  2. In the "Add package" block, fill in the fields "Package name", "Price (rub)", "Duration (months)", and "Description". Click "Add".
  3. Leave the "Plan features" block empty: these restrictions apply only to sites created with the builder from your site.
  4. To link to registration with a pre-selected plan, provide the link /register?package= with the package number from the ID column in the "Package list".

When packages exist, registration without a plan is not possible. The price is debited from the balance: if there is not enough money, the balance goes negative until top-up. Then the plan is changed in the personal account with the buttons "Change plan" and "Select plan for a new period".

Renewal occurs when the user logs in after the term ends. The free plan is always renewed; the paid one — only if the balance is not below zero, that is, the previous period is paid.

The plan itself does not open or close sections: the section's "Access level" does not depend on the plan. A plan is subscription accounting and money debiting.

If it didn't work

  • After renaming, the plan stopped renewing. Renewal looks up the plan by name. Do not rename an active plan — create a new one.
  • "Select a package for registration." The visitor did not select a plan on the registration page.
