How to make the site install on a phone as an app
← BackAdd the “Install app” informer: a visitor on a phone will see a button that places the site icon on the home screen.
- Add a menu item and in the “Module” field, via “Select” → “Informers”, choose the “Install app” card (code
informer_pwa). Save. - Open the item and click “Module settings”:
- “Button text”;
- “App name” and “Label under the icon (up to 12 characters)” — if empty, the site name is used;
- “App icon (square, from 512×512)” — if missing, the favicon or logo is used, and if those are missing too, the first letter of the name on a colored background;
- “Background and status bar color of the app”;
- “Show the button on desktop too”.
- Save.
The visitor sees the button in the phone browser until the app is installed. On Android in Chrome, Yandex Browser and Samsung Internet, it opens the installation window; on iPhone, a short instruction “Share → Add to Home Screen”. There is no button in the installed app. Without a connection, the app shows the “No internet connection” page.
As an administrator, you always see the button — faded where the visitor does not see it — and hints if something prevents installation.
On a phone, the top menu collapses into a hamburger button, and the install button will be inside it. To keep it visible, place the informer in the footer or as a section on the page.
If it didn’t work
- “The site is not opened via HTTPS”. Installation works only over a secure address.
- I hid the item from the menu — installation disappeared. The app is enabled only by a visible informer. With “Nobody. Can follow.” it stops working.
- A visitor from Telegram or VKontakte cannot install. It is not possible from an in-app browser; the button will suggest opening the site in Chrome or Safari.

Tips for working with the builder
The "Help" section is made for those who are building a website on "Pervaya Liniya" for the first time. It contains answers to common questions: how to create a website, what to write in the fields, how to edit texts and photos, how to connect your own domain, and how to set up sections. The materials will help you figure things out without contacting support.
The builder is simple: you fill in the fields on the creation page, and then edit the content directly on the finished website. If something does not work or is unclear, check the relevant help item. The instructions are written in plain language and describe every step.
In Help you will find answers to questions:
- how to come up with a website address and what to do if the name is taken;
- how to change the title, description, and other texts on the page;
- how to add products, services, or request forms;
- how to connect your own domain instead of an address on firstline.com.ua;
- how to set up sections and modules for your business needs.
If you cannot find the answer you need, use the feedback form — we will help you figure it out. The section is updated so that you can always find current information about working with the builder.
