How to make the site a VK mini app

Create an application on dev.vk.ru, create a section with the app_vk module, enter the ID and secure key and specify the section address for all application platforms.

  1. On dev.vk.ru, create a mini app. Take the "App ID" and "Secure key" — not the "Service access key".
  2. Create a section, for example /vk-app, with the app_vk module and access "Everyone".
  3. In "Module settings", enter the "VK App ID" and "Secure key".
  4. Open the section page as an administrator. Copy the "Address for app settings on dev.vk.ru" and paste it into the app for all platforms: vk.com, m.vk.com, Android, and iOS.
  5. Choose "Where the user lands after login" and click "Save".

A VK user lands on the site under their account. It is created on first login. Outside VKontakte, the site works as usual.

Payment according to VK rules

VK considers the site's plans and services to be digital goods. On vk.com and m.vk.com, they are paid for using the site's regular payment acceptance, but only banks with a Central Bank license are allowed. In the VK mobile apps for Android and iOS, on pages from the "Payment pages (close in VK mobile apps)" field, only "Payment on the platform is unavailable" is shown. VK votes are not accepted for topping up the balance.

VK requires a page with payment and refund rules and seller details: full name or company name, TIN, OGRN(IP), address for legal entities, phone or email. Create it as a regular section with "Everyone" access and specify the address in the "Payment, refund, and seller details page" field. A link to it will appear at the bottom of the app pages.

One site can have several VK apps, for example a website and a game. Each needs its own section with its own ID. The person still has one account.

If it didn't work

  • Moderation note about the app address. The section address must be set for all platforms from the request. It's better to remove unnecessary platforms.
  • Unable to confirm login. The secure key is not from this app or the "Service access key" was entered.
  • Red warning about the same app ID for two sections. Login will always go to the first section — fix the ID.
