How to make an RSS feed for a site for Zen and readers
← BackCreate a /rss section with the rss module and "Nobody. Can visit." access, and on its page mark the source sections — their objects will become feed news.
- Create a section with the address
rss(without.xml) and therssmodule. Set access to "Nobody. Can visit.". - Open the section page as an administrator.
- In the "Where to get news" block, mark the sections whose objects will go into the feed.
- Fill in the "Feed name" and "Description — one sentence". Set "How many news items" and "Only for the last, days" (
0— no limit). - For Zen, leave "Full news text in the feed (needed for Zen; without it — only the summary)". Click "Save".
- Click "Open feed" — you will see exactly what Zen will receive. Copy the "Feed address".
Each object of the selected section is one news item: title, image, description, and link to the object page. New ones go on top. To publish a news item, add an object to the source section. You can also do this from the "Posting and newsletter" module, item "News on the site".
Connecting to Zen: dzen.ru → Studio → Channel settings → "RSS import". Paste the feed address and confirm domain rights. The same address is accepted by readers (Feedly, Inoreader) and aggregators.
There is only one feed on the site. A second section with the rss module will show the same settings.
If it didn't work
- "The feed is empty". No section with objects is selected, or all objects are older than the specified period.
- The section is marked "closed". Its objects will not go into the feed until it has "Everyone" or "Nobody. Can visit." access.
- Zen doesn't take the news. It needs images at least 480×320 and full text, and it doesn't accept news older than 7 days. An address like
/rss.xmlis not suitable — only without an extension.

Tips for working with the builder
The "Help" section is made for those who are building a website on "Pervaya Liniya" for the first time. It contains answers to common questions: how to create a website, what to write in the fields, how to edit texts and photos, how to connect your own domain, and how to set up sections. The materials will help you figure things out without contacting support.
The builder is simple: you fill in the fields on the creation page, and then edit the content directly on the finished website. If something does not work or is unclear, check the relevant help item. The instructions are written in plain language and describe every step.
In Help you will find answers to questions:
- how to come up with a website address and what to do if the name is taken;
- how to change the title, description, and other texts on the page;
- how to add products, services, or request forms;
- how to connect your own domain instead of an address on firstline.com.ua;
- how to set up sections and modules for your business needs.
If you cannot find the answer you need, use the feedback form — we will help you figure it out. The section is updated so that you can always find current information about working with the builder.
