How to show a map with an address on the site

← Back

Create a section with the map module and paste a link to a place in Yandex Maps or Google Maps into "Module settings" — the map will appear on the page.

  1. Find the desired location in Yandex Maps or Google Maps.
  2. Copy the address from the browser's address bar, the link from "Share", or the embed code (iframe) — any option will work.
  3. In "Site Structure", create a section with the map module and save.
  4. Open the section → "Module Settings" → paste the link into "Link to map or embed code".
  5. Optionally, set "Map height, px" (default 450) and check "Show 'Open in maps' link under the map". Save.

The map is displayed as a separate page or a section on another page, for example on the contacts page. Short links like maps.app.goo.gl and yandex.ru/maps/-/… also work: on first display, the site automatically expands them into the full address. On a phone, the map is never taller than 70% of the screen.

To show multiple points at once, build a map in the Yandex Map Constructor and paste its code. Code from the maps site is not output as is: the site takes only the map itself from it.

If it didn't work

  • The map is missing, and the administrator sees a hint. The link was not recognized — copy it again from "Share" or use the embed code. In this case, visitors see nothing.
  • Google route is not displayed. Google does not allow embedding route links (/maps/dir/). Paste a link to the place itself.
  • Need a 2GIS map. Currently only Yandex Maps and Google Maps are supported.

Tips for working with the builder

The "Help" section is made for those who are building a website on "Pervaya Liniya" for the first time. It contains answers to common questions: how to create a website, what to write in the fields, how to edit texts and photos, how to connect your own domain, and how to set up sections. The materials will help you figure things out without contacting support.

The builder is simple: you fill in the fields on the creation page, and then edit the content directly on the finished website. If something does not work or is unclear, check the relevant help item. The instructions are written in plain language and describe every step.

In Help you will find answers to questions:

  • how to come up with a website address and what to do if the name is taken;
  • how to change the title, description, and other texts on the page;
  • how to add products, services, or request forms;
  • how to connect your own domain instead of an address on firstline.com.ua;
  • how to set up sections and modules for your business needs.

If you cannot find the answer you need, use the feedback form — we will help you figure it out. The section is updated so that you can always find current information about working with the builder.
